That old woman returns home after recovery

The elderly woman who had been lying helpless on the ground in Madhanagar railway station area in Naldanga upazila of Natore has recovered from her illness and returned home on Monday (May 4).

And the dog that was seen to guard the helpless old woman has also returned to its own destination.

Naldanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Shakib Al Rabbi visited the old woman seeing a report published on country’s leading and popular online news portal risingbd.com and following the direction of deputy commissioner. He took the old woman to the house of Ahsan Ali, a resident of the area, and arranged treatment for her there. Now she is recovering slowly and can speak. She can also tell her name and address.

The hapless old woman is Nani Bala, wife of late Bhabesh Mohantar of Balur Danga area of ​​Naogaon. Mozammel Haque, a lecturer of an educational institution in Madhanagar village, said seeing the plight of the old woman, the UNO Shakib Al Rabbi immediately provided her with some cash, rice, pulses, dry food and water. He also arranged treatment for her. Then she started recovering slowly. She was sent to her home on Monday afternoon.

Local UP member Joynal Abedin Dollar said, the dog guarding Nani Bala was standing beside her while she was being picked up in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw. The dog lives in Madhanagar bazaar .

UNO Shakib Al Rabbi said the old woman Nani Bala is recovering. She has been sent to her home from the house of Ahsan Ali who gave her shelter.

Natore Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahriaz said she has been sent to her home as she came round.
