Bashundhara City, Jamuna Future Park to remain shut

Though the government has permitted to open shops and malls on conditions from May 10 ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, authorities of Bashundhara City and Jamuna Future Park have decided to remain shut in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Sheikh Abdul Alim, Senior Executive Director of Bashundhara City Development Ltd, told this to media on Wednesday.

He said, “Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan took the decision after discussing with traders of Bashundhara City.”

Meanwhile, authorities of Jamuna Future Park said, despite permission given the government, Jamuna Future Park, the biggest shopping mall in South Asia, would not be opened because of growing situation of coronavirus outbreak.
