8 more deaths, 636 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

Eight more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 214 in the country.

Besides, 636 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 13,770.

Prof DrNasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Saturday (May 9).

“We’ve carried out tests on 5,465 samples collected from across the country and 636 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 13,770,” she said.
