Over 300 Bangladeshis to return from US Friday

Bangladesh government has taken initiatives to bring back citizens, who stranded in the United States (US) due to global coronavirus pandemic, on a special flight.

As part of the initiative, a chartered flight of Qatar Airways carrying over 300 Bangladesh nationals will land in Dhaka on May 15 (Friday).

Bangladesh High Commission in Washington confirmed the news.

It said, “The flight will take off from Dulles International Airport of Washington for Dhaka at 11:00pm (local time) on May 15 (Friday).

The returnees include students, tourists and stranded Bangladeshis who flew there for works.

Bangladesh consul general in New York said, “The returnees will be put under quarantine for two weeks after landing in Dhaka. Besides, they must bear coronavirus infection free certificate.
