35 more deaths, 2,635 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

35 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 846 in the country.

Besides, 2,635 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 63,026.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Saturday (June 6).

According to DGHS, a total of 13,325 individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.

“We've carried out tests on 12,486 samples collected from across the country and 2,635 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 63,026” she said.
