Budget to be welfare-oriented: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said a pro-people and welfare-oriented budget will be placed giving top priority on life and livelihood.

Quader, also the Awami League general secretary, said the budget would be placed coordinating the views and suggestions of stakeholders with experiences of economists and party manifestos before the formulation of the budget.

He made the remarks after joining a video conference at the signing ceremony of the Northern Route of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 5 on Wednesday (June 10).
