Injured journalist Nannu dies

MoazzemHossainNannu, a crime reporter of Daily Jugantor and a former secretary of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh, died on Saturday morning after he received burn injuries in a fire incident at his Aftabnagar residence.
He died around 8.20am at Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the city.
Inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, confirmed the news.
Resident medical officer of DMCH burn unit Partha Shankar Pal had earlier told reporters that Nannu received 60 per cent burn injury.
The fire broke out when his wife put off the light of the room on June 11.
On January 2, Shapnil Ahmed Piash, son of Nannu, died in another fire incident.
