Tangail MP Ataur flown to Dhaka

The government has brought Tangail-3 (Ghatail) lawmaker Ataur Rahman to Dhaka for better treatment at the Combined Military Hospital after he became ill critically.

A helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) transported him to Dhaka on Friday night (July 10), Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) sources said.

Sources said, the lawmaker is suffering from various kinds of illness including cardiac disease. He was shifted to the capital around 8:00pm.

The Awami League leader was elected a member of parliament for the first time in 2018.
