Malaysia to send Rayhan back Bangladesh Aug 31

Malaysia will send back Md Rayhan Kabir, a Bangladesh national who was arrested in Malaysia for giving interview to the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television, to Bangladesh on August 31 (Monday).

The currently flight operation with Malaysia remains suspended. He will send back home on August 31 when the flight operation will resume.

A leader of Bangladesh community in Malaysia said, ‘Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud, Director General of the Department of Immigration of Malaysia, told media that Rayhan Kabir will be send Bangladesh back when investigation in this regard will ended. It can’t be said right now when he will be send back. However, he will be deported by the first flight.’

All international flights including on London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi routes currently remain suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.

The flight is expected to resume on August 31. According to DG of Malaysia Immigration, Rayhan would be sent back Bangladesh on the day.
