Abrar`s death: Anisul Hoque, 4 others get bail

Anisul Hoque, the editor of Kishor Alo, a publication of the Prothom Alo, and four others have got bail in a case filed over the death of Dhaka Residential Model College student Naimul Abrar Rahat.
The court has also withdrawn an order to confiscate the properties of five people including Anisul Hoque.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim passed the orders after they surrendered to the court on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the court ordered the authorities concerned to confiscate the properties of five people including Anisul Hoque.
The other accused are Mahitul Alam, senior assistant editor of Kishor Alo, Kabir Bakul, head of events and activation, and Shah Paran Tushar and Shuvashish Pramanik, assistants of the events of the magazine.
Ninth grader Naimul Abrar Rahat died after being electrocuted behind the stage at an event organised by the Kishor Alo at Dhaka Residential Model College on November 1, 2019.
Later, the student was taken to the Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali where doctors declared him dead.
Victim’s father, Mujibur Rahman filed a case with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court accusing Anisul and others of the incident on November 6, 2019.
