Fire at Banani’s Ahmed Tower under control

The fire that broke out at Ahmed Tower in the city’s Banani area on Sunday (Sept 20) morning has been brought under control.
Members of Fire Service and Civil Defence brought the fire under control.
Duty officer Ershad Hossain of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control room confirmed the news to risingbd.
The fire originated on the 15th floor of the 28-storey building close to FR Tower at 11:38am. On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 12:15 pm.
Earlier, 26 people were killed and more than 70 others were injured in a fire at FR Tower on March 28, 2019.
