BTRC gets new chairman

The government has appointed Senior Secretary (retired) Shyam Sunder Sikder as the chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday (December 14).

The new BTRC chairman has been appointed for next three years by the order of the President, according to the notification.

Mentionable, Shyam Sunder Sikder will replace incumbent chairman Jahurul Huq who went into retirement on December 4.
