State Minister Farhad Hossain read out the directives to the reporters.
When asked, whether any government decision over general holidays to prevent coronavirus, he replied, “So far we have no such decision and there has been no discussion over general holidays. We worked, journalists were in the field, many were infected. Many are fine so far as they are cautious. In that case our activities will continue. There is no general holiday or such thoughts so far. But I hope we can control it if we are careful.”
The coronavirus outbreak began across the country early March last year. As the infections have increased, general holidays were announced from March 26 to April 4. Then, holidays were extended for several times. Until last May 30, a total of 66 days of general holidays were enforced due to coronavirus pandemic.
