Passer-by killed in Nilkhet road accident

A passer-by was killed when a passenger bus hit the person at Nilkhet intersection in the capital.

The deceased was identified as Golam Mostafa, 63.

The incident took place around 7:00am on Wednesday (April 7).

Sipu Hawladar, another passer-by, said, “Golam Mostafa was critically injured after a bus of Thikana Paribahan hit him while he was crossing the Nilkhet intersection in the morning. Later, I rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after recovering him but duty doctor declared him dead.”

Confirming the matter, DMCH police camp in-charge (Inspector) Md Bachchu Mia said, “The body has been kept at hospital’s morgue for autopsy. The police station concerned has been informed about the matter.”
