Speaker mourns death of Indra Mohan Rajbongshi

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra singer, Ekushey Padak recipient and researcher Indra Mohan Rajbongshi.

In a condolence message sent to the media on Wednesday (April 7), the Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mentionable, noted folk singer Indra Mohan Rajbongshi breathed his last at 11.00am on Wednesday at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

The folk singer was admitted to Mohakhali Metropolitan Hospital with chest pain on April 1. Later, he tested Covid-19 positive. He was taken to the ICU of a Malibagh hospital. Later, he was shifted to BSMMU after his condition had deteriorated.
