Train services to resume Thursday

The government is set to relax the ongoing strict lockdown from July 15 (Thursday) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims. Public transports will run during the period. Train service will also be resumed.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan made the disclosure on Monday (July 12) afternoon.
He said, “Train will run with half passenger of the capacity. All tickets will be sold online. 50 percent of total tickets will be sold. Decision on how many trains will run on which route will be taken on Tuesday (July 13). However, number of trains will be less than usual. Name and schedule are likely to be disclosed on Tuesday.”
The government is set to relax the ongoing strict restrictions from July 15 to July 22 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Sources of the Cabinet Division confirmed the matter. All kinds of public transports like bus, launch will run during the eight-day (July 15 to July 22) following health guidelines. Alongside, shops and malls will be reopened on limited scale for the days.
Public transports will be allowed with fully maintaining health guidelines considering the home-goers’ Eid journey. However, all government and non-government offices will remain closed.
Mentionable, Bangladesh will celebrate the Holy Eid-ul-Azha on July 21.
