Actress Pori Moni held, huge drug seized

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have held actress Pori Moni after conducting a drive at his Banani residence in the capital on Wednesday (August 4) afternoon.

Law enforcers also seized drugs from her residence during the three-hour long raid.

Muhammad Khairul Islam, chief of RAB Intelligence wing, confirmed the matter.

According to RAB, a raid was conducted at Pori Moni’s residence on specific information. There was found huge amount of illegal drugs.  A liquor bar was found at her house. She was held for reserving the drugs illegally.

Earlier, a RAB team took position in front of the residence of Pori Moni at Banani in the capital around 4:00 pm on Wednesday.  Commander Khandaker Al Moin, chief of RAB legal and media wing, said at that time, “A raid was being conducted at Pori Moni’s residence on specific information.”

Sensing the presence of law enforcement agencies, Pori Moni went on Facebook live and alleged that some people are trying to enter her residence, but she is not aware who are they.
