Nine top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami including its secretary general Mia Golam Parwar have been held for allegedly holding a conspiratorial secret meeting against the state.
Police held them from Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital on Monday (September 6).
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Asaduzzaman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Gulshan Zone) confirmed the matter to risingbd around 8:30pm.
