Qcoom CEO Ripon remanded

A Dhaka court has placed Ripon Mia, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of e-commerce platform ‘Qcoom’ on a-day remand in a case filed with the capital’s Tejgaon Industrial Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order after hearing in the case on Wednesday (October 13).

Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested Ripon Mia on October 3 in a case filed with Paltan Police Station lunder Digital Security Act. He was remanded for two days in that case.

After the remand ended, he was shown arrested in the case filed with Tejgaon Industrial-region Police Station. Later, a five-day remand was sought for Ripon in the case. The court granted a day after hearing.
