Qcoom CEO Ripon lands in jail

A Dhaka court sent e-commerce platform Qcoom's chief executive officer (CEO) Ripon Mia, to jail in a fraud case filed with Tejgaon police station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order on Friday (October 15).
Earlier, Sub-Inspector Ruhul Amin produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind bars.
On October 3, the court placed Ripon Mia on a two-day remand in a case filed with the Paltan police station. He was arrested from the capital’s Dhanmondi area on charges of embezzling money through online fraud.
