Abdur Rahim Biplobi arrested for ‘provocative speech’

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested an Islamic orator named Abdur Rahim Biplobi on charges of making provocative speech.

The law enforcers arrested him from Kernaiganj on Thursday (October 21).

Additional Police Super Abul Kalam Azad of CID told risingbd that acting on secret information, he was arrested from Chunkuthia area of Keraniganj around 7:00 pm.

CID claimed, Biplobi gave an instigating speech and threatened movement in a post at social media following the Holy Quran was found in a puja mandap at Nanua Dighir Par in Cumilla city on October 13.
