Readymade garments industries recovering: BGMEA president

Faruque Hassan, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) said, ready-made garment industries are recovering following the assistance of the government.

The BGMEA president said this while addressing reporters after visiting Bangabandhu’s mausoleum in Tungipara on Friday (October 22).

He said, initiatives have been taken to re-open the garment factories which were closed and became vulnerable during the Coronavirus pandemic period.

Faruque Hassan also said that the country's ready-made garment sector will return to its previous position soon. Then, the wage-allowances of staff of this sector will be increased.
