Walton-DRU Media Cup: Risingbd beat Ajker Potrika

The risingbd.com, one of the leading news portal in the country, clinched victory by 30 runs against the daily Ajker Potrika in Walton-DRU Media Cup Cricket Tournament-2021 on Wednesday (November 10).

Winning toss, risingbd skipper Uday Hakim choose to bat first and scored 78 runs in their stipulated six overs.

In reply, the daily Ajker Potrika managed to score 48 balls.

Risingbd’s S K Reza Parvez scored the highest 44 runs while Uday Hakim scored 19 runs. On the other hand, Ajker Potrika’s Rashed Nizam took 11 runs.

Nuruzzaman Tanim bagged the man of the match title for his outstanding performance. He scored four runs and picked three wickets in the match.

After the match, Bangladesh Cricket Board director Ahmed Sazzadul Alam Bobi, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) president Mursalin Nomani, Joint general secretary Arafat Daria handed over the prizes among the winners.

Earlier on Wednesday, Walton-DRU six-a-side media cricket tournament was kicked off at the outer ground of Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.
