Dhaka airport’s runway to be closed for 8 hrs from Dec

The flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) will be closed for eight hours every day from December 10 till May 31 next year due to heavy maintenance work.

Already a direction has been sent to all domestic and foreign airlines in this regard.

The direction read that in case of emergency landing at that time, aircrafts will have to use the Sylhet airport (Osmani International Airport).

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman confirmed the matter.
