Nayeem’s death: Students block roads for 2nd day

Students of different educational institutions have blocked different roads for the second consecutive day demanding exemplary punishment to the driver responsible for the death of Notre Dame College student Nayeem Hasan.

Students of different educational institutions took to the streets in Zero Point area of the city around 11.30am on Thursday. Later, hundreds of students of Notre Dame College attended the program.

The students are chanting slogans demanding road safety and exemplary punishment of the driver responsible for a fellow student's death.

Nayeem Hasan, a second-year student of Notre Dame College, was killed on Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in Gulistan.
