Selina Hossain named Bangla Academy president

Swadhinata and Ekushey Padak winning writer Selina Hossain has been appointed as the president of Bangla Academy.

Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (February 3).

According to the gazette notification, she got the appointment for the next three years on condition to sever her professional affiliation with all institutions and organisations.

Selina Hossain started her role in literature through poetry. In 1969, her first storybook was published.
