PM mourns death of journo Pir Habibur Rahman

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Bengali daily Bangladesh Pratidin Executive Editor Pir Habibur Rahman.
In a message of condolence, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Noted journalist Pir Habibur Rahman breathed his last at the city’s LabAid Hospital around 4:08 pm on Saturday (February 05).
He suffered a stroke while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital and was shifted to the ICU of Labaid Hospital in Dhaka.
Journalist Pir Habibur Rahman had been suffering from many physical problems, including kidney disease.
In October last year, Pir Habibur Rahman underwent a bone marrow transplant at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre in Mumbai, India.
