State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali said that vegetables produced in Bangladesh are in great demand in Europe and the United Kingdom (UK). A new airport is being built to export vegetables abroad, which will increase the export capacity of Bangladesh. Many developed countries are contacting the government to import vegetables from Bangladesh.
He was speaking as the chief guest while distributing fertilizers, seeds and small ethnic group grants among farmers at Madhabpur in Habiganj on Friday (April 15).
The state minister said, “During the tenure of BNP-Jamaat alliance government, 18 farmers were shot dead for fertilizer. Now the government is providing free fertilizer, seeds and modern agricultural machinery to the farmers.”
Mahbub Ali said, “Bangladesh did not have the potential for an economic crisis like happened in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s mega projects have failed. That is why there is an economic crisis in the country. Bangladesh’s mega projects including Padma Bridge and Metrorail will be completed on time. This will further increase the growth of the country, opening a new horizon in the communication system.”
He further said, “Bangladesh is praised abroad for the successful administration of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina. The Prime Minister’s dynamic leadership and long-term plan has revolutionized the economic sector including the implementation of SDGs, education, health, agriculture, poverty reduction, life expectancy, and export-oriented industrialization. The Padma Bridge, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, Payra Deep Seaport and Dhaka Metrorail are on the way to be implemented.”
