Eid joy returns as pandemic fears fade

The city dwellers are enjoying Eid-ul-fitr after a two-year disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The overall environment of this year’s Eid was completely different as there was almost no restrictions due to the pandemic.

People were seen shaking hands and hugging each other thrice as usual after Eid prayers this time.

The huge crowd was seen in recreational spots like – zoo, parks, museums and other locations.

Ashraful Islam, a dweller of Banasree area said, we could not roam any tourist areas last two years due to the restrictions of pandemic. Even, we had to pass the Eid vacations at home but, the scenario is better this year. That’s why we have come out from home along with family members to enjoy Eid.

Not only, the recreational centers but also the restaurants and food courts were seen packed by the young people during this Eid. Many of them were seen visiting several Cineplex too.
