People returning to Dhaka after Eid holiday

Hundreds of holidaymakers started returning to Dhaka on Tuesday after enjoying the Eid-ul-Azha holidays with their near and dear ones at their villages.
People are flocking to launch ghats, train stations and bus stations to return the capital as offices reopened on Tuesday following a three-day vacation.
Vehicle movement increased on several roads, including in the Mogbazar, Hatirjheel, and Malibagh areas, but there were no reports of heavy traffic congestion. However, some commuters in Uttara, Banani, and Rampura had to brave long tailbacks to reach their destinations.
Borhan Kabir, an official of a private company from Jhalakati said, after enjoying Eid vacation, I have returned to Dhaka. There were no hassles on the way back to the capital.
Sundarbans launch master Sabuz Mia said, there was a pressure of passengers today. However, we managed to return to Dhaka safely.
Sadarghat river security and traffic division (BIWTA) Official Rafiqul Islam said, a total of 70 launches returned arrived Dhaka launch terminal till 8:00am. No untoward situation is reported yet.
