Gold prices drop in local market

Gold prices have dropped in the local market which will effective from July 18.
The price of gold fell by Tk 1,166 a bhori and now each bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk 77,216, down from Tk 78,382.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) made the announcement in a press release on Sunday (July 17).
According to the press release, the price of 21-carat gold has been decreased to Tk 73,716 a bhori from Tk 74,882 a bhori and that of 18-carat gold to Tk 63,218 a bhori from Tk 64,152 a bhori.
The price of traditional gold has been dropped to Tk 52,721 a bhori from Tk 53,479 a bhori, the release said.
