Bangladesh to get 99 percent duty-free export facility in China

Now Bangladesh will get 99 percent duty-free export facility in the Chinese market.
The decision was taken at a bilateral meeting held between Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Bangladesh counterpart AK Abdul Momen at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital at around 7:45 am on Sunday (August 7).
Briefing the media after the meeting, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam said, “China has promised to give Bangladesh another 1% duty-free facility in the case of Bangladeshi goods exports. Therefore, Bangladesh will be able to export 99% of its exports to China duty-free.”
The facility will come into effect from September 1 this year, Shahriar Alam added.
