Chawkbazar fire: Six bodies recovered

At least six people were killed in a fire that broke out at a plastic factory at Chawkbazar area in Dhaka on Monday (August 15).

The deceased were known as Md Sharif, 15, Billal, 35, Shawpon, 22, Osman, 25. The identities of two others could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, fire service inspector Md Anwar said, six bodies have been recovered from level two. we are searching the entire building. The death toll would increase more.

Earlier, the fire originated around 12pm at the factory at Kamalbagh area under Lalbagh police station.

Later, ten firefighting units brought the blaze under control at 2:20 pm.
