Myanmar envoy summoned, strong protest lodged

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Myanmar Ambassador to Bangladesh Aung Kyaw Moe and lodged a strong protest over the killing of a Rohingya boy and injuries of five other Rohingyas in the explosion of mortar shells fired by the Myanmar army at the zero point Rohingya camp close to the international border in Tombru, Bandarban.
At 11:20 am on Sunday (September 18), Aung Kyaw Moe came to the foreign ministry after the Director General of the Southeast Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nazmul Huda had summoned the ambassador.
The Myanmar ambassador left the foreign ministry at around 12:10 pm.
In the last several days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Myanmar ambassador four times.
