574 children raped in last 8 months

At least 574 children were raped and 186 were killed in last eight months (January to August) this year across the country.

National Girl Child Advocacy Forum (NGCAF) Secretary Nasima Aktar Jolly revealed the information in a program at National Press Club in the capital on Friday (Friday 30).

A total of 2,301 girls were affected by child marriage in 28 districts, she said.

During the period, 181 children have committed suicide.
