Taking first dose of Covid-19 vaccine ends today

Special campaign for Covid-19 vaccination that started on September 28 is set to conclude today, Monday (October 3).

“First dose of Covid-19 vaccine will no longer be administered after the special campaign,” said Prof Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, director general (DG) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Khurshid Alam said, “We have already achieved the target of administering Covid-19 vaccine to people. 97 percent of total population has received first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, 90 percent received second dose and 41 percent received third or booster dose.”

He urged those people who are still out of vaccination to receive vaccine by today.
