140 Bangladeshi police get UN Peacekeeping award

A total of 140 Bangladesh Police members of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) have been awarded with the UN Peacekeeping Award.

The medal was presented to the Bangladesh cops at the stabilization mission headquarters on Monday (November 28), where the mission’s Police Commissioner General Bettina Patricia Bugani was present as the chief guest.

Formed Police Unit-2 (Rotation-4) Coordinator Hammanzabu Samuel, Timbuktu Region Regional Commander Sanao Diouf, Regional Administrative Officer, Deputy Sector Commander Colonel Javed Aslam, and commanders of military contingent attended the program.

Commander (Superintendent of Police) Mohammad Shahinur Alam Khan of BANFPU-2 (Rotation-4) said, facing various challenges with utmost professionalism and bravery, the members of Bangladesh Police performed the duties assigned to them with honesty and devotion.
