NBR extends tax return submission deadline

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the income tax return submission deadline to December 31.

Sources in the NBR said on Wednesday.

Many new taxpayers are willingly submitting income returns this year. The time has been extended by one month as a good number of taxpayers sought time extension, they said.

Income tax return submission process has been simplified so that people can pay tax in a hassle-free atmosphere, they added.
