Gas price increased for industries again

The government has again increased the gas prices for industries, power production and hotels and restaurants.

The Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Division issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday noon.

However, the prices of gas used for household, fertiliser production, CNG-run vehicles and tea gardens will remain unchanged.

According to the circular, the prices of gas for industries will increase to Tk 30 from Tk 11.98 from (about three folds jump) per cubic metre. For power generation, it will increase to Tk 30 from Tk 16, for medium industries Tk 30 from Tk 11.78 and for SMEs Tk 30 from Tk 10.78.
