It is not possible to work without support of civil admin: Army Chief

Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has said that the Bangladesh Army performs many duties of the government with the support of civil administration. It is not possible to carry out the activities successfully without the full cooperation of civil administration.

The Bangladesh Army chief came with remark while addressing a session of the three-day conference of deputy commissioners at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Thursday (January 26). He took part in a discussion on the defence ministry and the army on the last day of the three-day conference.

Referring to his presence in the DC conference, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed said, “I personally came here last time, and I have come here again. I did not send any representative. It proves that I give more importance on it”.
