Get ready for a fair election: Home minister to DCs

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has directed deputy commissioners to prepare themselves for the upcoming 12th general election so that they can play their role properly.

The minister said this while addressing reporters at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital on Thursday (January 26).

He said that the administration has many roles to play in a fair election, so instructions have been given to get ready to play their role properly in the upcoming election.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are very efficient and experienced, and they deal with various crises with their experience and expertise. They are also ready for a fair election, he added.

The minister also said that basically, we will have nothing to do during the elections. The ministry will only do routine work. Election Commission will be in charge.
