EC takes action against 69 staff

The Election Commission has taken action against its 69 officials on charge of various irregularities.

The list of EC officials was published at the EC’s website on Tuesday (January 31).

An additional deputy commissioner, a local election officer, and 25 first officers are among the officials facing punishment for their actions.

Sources said that of the officials, couple of them were suspended permanently while some of them were given demotions.
