Voting in by-polls to 6 constituencies underway

By-polls to six parliamentary constituencies that fell vacant following the resignations of BNP lawmakers is being held today (February).

Voting started at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm.  Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are being used in all centers.

Constituencies include Thakurgaon-3, Bogra-4 and 6, Chapainawabganj-2 and Chapainawabganj-3 and Brahmanbaria-2.

40 aspirants are fighting for the 6 constituencies in the by-elections. Among them 17 are independent candidates, the remaining 23 are from 10 political parties.

The total number of voters in these constituencies is more than 2,250,000.
