Hajj package 2023 announced

The government has finalized Tk6,83,018 hajj package this year under government management which is around Tk161,868 more than the last year.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan announced the hajj package after a meeting with the executive committee on hajj management at the Secretariat on Wednesday (February 1).

Hajj pilgrims paid Tk586340 under package-1 and Tk521150 under package-2 last year.

According to an agreement with Saudi Arabia, this year, a total of 127198 Bangladeshis will perform hajj. Besides, the age limit for Hajj pilgrims has been lifted by the Saudi government – paving the way for people over 65 to go for the significant pilgrimage.

Earlier in 2022, a total of 57,585 Bangladeshis had performed hajj.
