AL in Bogura-6, JaSaD in Bogura-4 by-polls win

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD-Inu) District President AKM Rezaul Karim Tansen has unofficially been elected member of parliament (MP) in the by-election to Bogura-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency.

Tansen bagged 20,405 votes while his nearest rival independent candidate Ashraful Hossain Alam alias Hero Alam got 19,571 votes.

On the other hand, Awami League candidate Ragebul Ahsan Ripu has unofficially been elected in Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency with the election symbol of ‘Boat’.

He got 49,336 votes while his nearest rival independent candidate Abdul Mannan Akand got 21,864 votes contesting the by-polls with 'Truck' symbol.

Returning officer and Bogura Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam confirmed the news on Wednesday.
