Private hajj package announced: Minimum cost Tk 6.72 lakh

Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has announced the package for performing hajj under private management this year, fixing the minimum cost at Tk 6,72,618.

M Shahadat Hossain Taslim, president of HAAB, announced the package at a press conference held at a city hotel on Thursday.

The minimum cost was Tk 5,22,744 in 2022 and it is Tk 1.49 lakh more than last year.

The cost of sacrificial animals has not included in the package. Any additional fees imposed by the Saudi government after the package announcement will be considered as price of the package and payable by the Hajj pilgrim, he also said.

HAAB is a platform of around 1500 private hajj agencies.

Earlier on Wednesday, the government fixed Tk 6,83,018 as the cost for each pilgrim to perform hajj under the government management this year.

Hajj-2023 will be held on 9th day of Zilhaj (June 28) depending on moon sighting.
