Bangladesh receives $476m of IMF loan as 1st installment

Bangladesh has received the first installment of $476 million from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) out of the $4.7 billion loan package.
The new amount has been added to the foreign exchange reserves of the central bank on Thursday (February 2).
BB Executive Director and Spokesman Mezbaul Haque confirmed the matter.
He said Bangladesh received the first installment of the loan from IMF. So, the foreign reserve is now 32.69 billion USD.
Earlier on Monday, the International Monetary Fund approved a $4.7 billion loan for Bangladesh to support the country's economic policies.
