Gold price falls by Tk1,167 per bhori

Jewellers in the country have reduced gold prices by the highest Tk1,167 per bhori or 11.664 grams.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) took the decision at a meeting on Saturday (February 4).
The revised prices will be effective from Sunday, said a press release signed by BAJUS standing committee chairman MA Hannan Azad.
According to the new rate, 22-carat gold will be available at Tk92,262 per bhori, 21-carat gold will be available at Tk88,063 per bhori.
Earlier, BAJUS hiked the price of gold to Tk 93,429 per bhori, the highest so far in the country's history.
