PM places wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial at Dhanmondi-32 in the capital on Friday morning marking his 103rd birth anniversary and the National Children’s Day-2023.

Sheikh Hasina first placed a wreath at 7.05am as the Prime Minister at the portrait of the greatest Bangalee of all time and stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of Bangabandhu.

Flanked by senior leaders, she laid another wreath at the portrait of the great leader as the President of Bangladesh Awami League.

The 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day-2023 is being observed today (March 17) in a befitting manner.
