Actress Mahiya Mahi arrested

Actress Mahia Mahi has been arrested from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in a case filed under Digital Security Act.

Gazipur Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner (media) Ibrahim Khan confirmed the news on Saturday noon.

She has been taken to the office of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner. Her husband Rakib Sarkar, a businessman, has remained absconding, the police officer said.

Sub Inspector of Basan Thana of Gazipur city Mohammad Rokon Mia filed the case on Friday night.

Early Friday the couple alleged on their facebook pages that miscreants led by Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner attacked their car showroom to occupy it.

The attack took place on Friday (March 17) at around 5.00am in the car showroom called Sonyraj Car Palace on the east side of Alam Government College in Bhawal Badr of Gazipur city, they alleged.
